Opera Mini

Opera Mini is a mobile and smartphone browser that offers different features than Opera Mobile. Like Teashark, the web pages are sent to a proxy server, which adapts them to the screen size of the cell phone and compresses the data. Opera Mini is suitable for cell phones, smartphones and PDAs with the Java-based Mobile Information Device Profile( MIDP).

When a web page is called up, Opera Mini displays it completely on the cell phone screen. The user can then zoom in on a page area and also display a column of text individually, easily readable. Zooming can be done using keyboard navigation or menu commands. Menunavigation is supported by a virtual keyboard and can be activated via touch screens. In addition, Opera Mini integrates Opera Link, which allows users to access personal bookmarks and recently used domains from other devices and synchronize notes between cell phone and personal computer.

When browsing, Opera Mini uses much less bandwidth than other browsers, which helps save communication costs. Like desktop browsers, they can open multiple tabs at the same time.
