Teashark

Teashark is a smartphone browser that can be installed on all Java-basedsmartphones that support the Mobile Information Device Profile( MIDP) 2.0. The Teashark browser uses the Teashark server, which transcodes the web pages, compresses and renders images, and sends them to the client, the cell phone.

The function of Teashark is similar to that of Opera Mobile. The redirection of the web pages via the Teashark server and the transcoding are not necessarily faster than the direct web page processing on the client.

The Teashark browser uses the Webkit engine, which is also used by Safari. Page navigation is done with a cursor, which is placed on the corresponding link with navigation keys and then activated. The page display can be reduced or enlarged with a few clicks using number keys. RSS feeds are filtered out of the web pages and displayed in a separate display. The display can be optimized by rotating 90° in landscape mode, making better use of the display.

Teashark also displays the history of visited web pages, can open 3 to 4 web pages simultaneously and set bookmarks.
