MeshScape

MeshScape is a radio transmission technology for industrial manufacturing, comparable to ZigBee or WirelessHART. It is a meshed network configuration that uses the access method standardized in IEEE 802.15.4 and has an additional network protocol that provides automatic configuration of meshed cellular networks and reacts quickly to topological network changes or disturbed radio links.

As a radio transmission technique, MeshScape uses spread band technology( DSSS) with a bandwidth of 5 MHz, in which 16 channels can be established. This corresponds to the media access of ZigBee. MeshScape can transmit data packets of a few bits to several bytes in an event-driven manner, with latencies ranging from a few milliseconds to several seconds. One hundred and more sensors, actuators and routers can be connected to MeshScape networks. They are extremely energy efficient, allowing poorly accessible sensors to run on battery power for several years.

MeshScape is used in industrial manufacturing, factory automation diagnostics and monitoring, and process automation.
