The BCL layer ensures adaptation to the transmission medium and the transmission protocols used, such as those of the LIN bus or the CAN bus. In addition, the BCL layer provides for the segmentation of the data records, which must not exceed a maximum length of 4095 bytes, the preparation of the BAP header, the event-oriented communication and the intermediate storage of the data.
