multichannel adaptation protocol (medical) (MCAP)
The Multichannel Adaptation Protocol (MCAP) is a host protocol in the Bluetooth protocol stack.
The MCAP protocol provides several simultaneous communication channels. These can be established as separate data channels via a Bluetooth link. Furthermore, in addition to the data channels, a control channel can also be routed over MCAP.
The MCAP protocol is used by the Bluetooth Health Device Profile( HDP) for the transmission of medical data. MCAP provides stable connections including streaming data.
