Health

Health is a standard software feature of Apple 's iOS mobile operating system as of version 8 from fall 2014 and is used to evaluate health and fitness data.

As an app, Health collects vital signs from measuring devices of different manufacturers connected to an iOS-enabled end device and merges them into a uniform display on a dashboard. With an iOS-enabled end device, users can overview their current and past heart rate, calories burned, blood sugar levels or cholesterol values and manually add their own information such as blood group or allergies.

Health Kit is a software framework for developers who can use it to connect different health and fitness apps and display them in the Health app.
