RG-213 cable

The RG-213 coaxial cable is a weatherproof outdoor cable that is characterized by particularly low attenuation.

This high- frequency cable is used, among other things, in WLANs for the connection from the access point( AP) to the antenna.

Specifications of RG-213U

Specifications of RG-213U

Attenuation values are 2.0 dB/100m at 10 MHz and increase to 7.0 dB/100m at 100 MHz and further to 17 dB/100m at 500 MHz. At frequencies of 1 GHz, the attenuation is 22 dB/100m and at 3 GHz it is 55 dB/100m. In RG-213, the inner conductor is a stranded wire, and the shielding can be braided shielding and, in an improved version, foil shielding. Polyethylene is used as the material for the dielectric, the outer sheath is in polyvinyl chloride.

The black RG-213 cable has an outer diameter of 10.3 mm and, like most high-frequency cables, an impedance of 50 ohms. It can be used wherever the RG-58 cable cannot be used due to its much higher attenuation.
