universal host controller interface (USB) (UHCI)

The Universal HostController Interface (UHCI) is a driver software with which a host controls the USB interface. Furthermore, there is also the Open Host Controller Interface( OHCI) and the Enhanced Host Controller Interface( EHCI). The universal controller interface UHCI, which was specified by Intel, supports USB versions 1.0 and 1.1 with data rates of 1.5 Mbps and 12 Mbps.
