- Shortcuts are key combinations or shortcut keys such as the function keys, also called hotkeys, which are used to trigger certain functions more quickly. - Shortcuts are also shortcuts in operating systems. On the Windows desktop, this is the shortcut of icons to the application program. In other programs, graphical icons are used to quickly switch between programs.
