In the case of learning programs, a distinction is made between two concepts: The first concept supports the user in learning a user program. Such learning programs are delivered with the user program and show solutions based on concrete examples.
The second concept focuses on further training. These programs are about knowledge transfer. These learning programs are used for learning foreign languages, for teaching mathematical, physical, geographical or scientific knowledge. If the knowledge is imparted in a playful, entertaining way, it is called edutainment
. If theknowledge is conveyed in the form of didactically prepared learning objectives, this
is referred to ascomputer-based training (CBT) and web-based training
(WBT). In this context, it is also worth mentioning screencasts, which can be produced with relatively little effort and which are suitable for demonstrating software, explaining application programs and for operating instructions for technical equipment.
