front office
In companies and public authorities, a distinction is made between the infrastructure that is geared to marketing, sales and the customer and that in which all business processes relevant to the company are handled. The former infrastructure is the front office, the latter the back office.
The front office is the area relevant to the customer and the public, in which all processes are carried out that are aimed at the market and the sale of the products. This involves contact with the customer, whether as business to consumer( B2C), administration to consumer( A2C) or government to consumer( G2C). The front office is where the sales are generated or the action to the consumer is executed. The front office is where the consulting and sales personnel work to provide the products, services or jobs to the customers.
Technically, the front office is supported by customer relationship management( CRM) systems, as well as by call centers and customer interaction centers( CIC).
