direct voltage amplifier
DC amplifiers are amplifiers that amplify DC voltage and DC-backed AC voltages.
The bandwidth of DC amplifiers starts at 0 Hertz. This 0 Hz is amplified without voltage drop. The upper cutoff frequency can be a few hertz or kilohertz, depending on the application. Operational amplifiers in inverting or non-inverting configuration are typically used as dc amplifiers, but chopper amplifiers are also used. Other circuit designs use dc-coupled amplifier circuits such as with bipolar transistors and emitter circuitry.
DC amplifiers are used with signals that change extremely slowly, such as with sensors.
