The Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is a Bluetooth profile for streaming
audio data. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, audio devices such as audio amplifiers, multimedia players or MP3 players can transmit their audio data in stereo sound to the speaker, headphones or earphones. The A2DP profile compresses the audio signal using SBC coding
with asampling frequency of 44.1 kHz
and higher. The A2DP profile is additionally supplemented by the AVRCP profile. This profile also allows the playback of music tracks from the mobile phone.
