Accessibility covers all aspects ofGUI programming for the graphical user interface that have to do with direct operation by the user. This includes, for example, usability with computer mouse and keyboard, usability of keyboard shortcuts, shortcuts, clearly visible help texts for program functions, for example in the status bar or as hint boxes at the mouse pointer, and an ergonomic display on the screen.

A special aspect of accessibility is accessibility for disabled users.
