RG-11 cable

The RG-11 coaxial cable is a 75-ohm cable specially designed for broadband applications. Like the RG-6 cable, it is used in broadband distribution networks for cable television( CATV), but also in community antenna systems( MATV), broadband transmission systemsand in video surveillance( CCTV).

The black RG-11 has a lower attenuation than the RG-6 and can therefore be used in larger systems with distances of up to 1 km without an amplifier. Attenuation for 100 meters is 4.5 dB at 50 MHz, increases to 18.7 dB at 600 MHz, and is 26.4 dB at 1 GHz.

Specifications of RG-11

Specifications of RG-11

As an inner conductor, RG-11 cable has a tinned copper strand of 7 x 0.4 mm wires with a diameter of 1.2 mm. The outer diameter is 10.3 mm. The shielding is a braided shield of copper wires with a coverage of 96%. The bending radius is 5 times the diameter without tensile load.
