While browser bookmarks are limited to the user's own web browser, social bookmarks are Internet bookmarks that can be indexed, commented on, and queried by many users worldwide, regardless of location. The social bookmarks are stored in the servers of the social bookmark providers and, depending on the release, are accessible to all users or only to the user who stored the bookmark.
When a social bookmark is stored, the web page is saved with its Internet address( URL) and annotated with keywords and short notes.
