queued telecommunication access method (QTAM)

Queued Teleprocessing Access Method (QTAM) is an IBM transmission method improved over the Basic Telecommunications Access Method (BTAM) that uses queuing and constantly caches data. QTAM is specified as a higher levelinterface for the SNA architecture. It was primarily used with System/360 to transfer data for batch processing.
