Program Making and Special Events (PMSE) refers to equipment and components used for electronic newsgathering (ENG), broadcast making, theatrical productions, and special events such as concerts, sporting events, or conferences. These services are referred to as Broadcast Auxiliary
Service (BAS) in the United States. PMSE technology is characterized by the fact that it is radio-based. PMSE equipment includes wireless video cameras, radio microphones, mixing consoles, recording equipment and the necessary data transmission equipment. Since the bridgeable distances are small, the radio signals are transmitted with a relatively low power, in the VHF and UHF ranges between 470 MHz and 694 MHz, among others, a range of the digital dividend.
