network job entry (NJE)

Network Job Entry (NJE) is an application service that allows messages, instructions and programs to be transferred across different computer systems in a network. Network Job Entry was developed by IBM is a complement to Remote Job Entry( RJE). With the NJE service, a user can access the resources of other computers from his computer in large and complex networks, even when two computers are clients of different servers. This service also supports setting up backups or archives on any computer within the network.

NJE also supports real-time communication between different users, it has multi- level password protection and is compatible with other industrial servers and clients.
