min BNC connector
The mini BNC connector is a fiber optic connector that was preferred in the IBM cabling system( IVS) in workplace cabling.
Housed in a metallic shell, the mini-BNC connector has a bayonet latch and is suitable for multimode fibers. The typical insertion loss is 0.2 dB, the return loss is > 15 dB. The mini BNC connector is designed for more than 2,000 mating cycles and can be used in a wide temperature range.
Since the mini BNC connector has lost its former importance in use in local networks, it is now only used to connect fiber optic converters.
