Full-HD-Voice, developed as Enhanced Voice Service( EVS), has an extremely high sound quality that can be transmitted by telephone.

Full-HD-Voice stands for a high fidelity that is not inferior to the quality of a personal conversation. Full-HD Voice is a further improvement of HD Voice, which is far superior to classic telephony via POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service). The technology operates at comparable data rates to HD Voice.

Historically, POTS voice quality has been limited by the 3.1 kHzbandwidth, and focused on intelligibility and voice recognition. HD Voice transmission brings it to a substantial quality improvement through speech codecs, equivalent to 7 kHz bandwidth. And full- HD voice has the fidelity that can be achieved with an adequate bandwidth of about 20 kHz. Full-HD Voice uses AAC Enhanced Low Delay( AAC-ELD), a compression method with a low bit rate, low delay time, and exceptionally high audio quality. Full-HD Voice is used in Internet telephony, telepresence, conference calls and video conferencing, Voice over LTE( VoLTE) and video conferencing.
