electronic discover (eDiscover)

Electronic discovery, e-discovery, is a process used to search for digital content in electronically stored information. In this technique, which is used in searches for legal proceedings and court cases, the desired content can be located and searched across networks in computers or in storage systems.

Electronic retrieval and searching of digital documents are relatively simple. Information can be searched on all electronic, optical and magnetic storage media. Even in the case of deleted hard disks, it is often possible to recover the content.

Electronic discovery applies to all media content. Equally to text documents in the most diverse file formats, to graphics, photos, tables, audios and videos. The same applies to malware, which can be used as evidence in court proceedings.
