ceramic antenna
The trend toward downsizing and cost savings is particularly pronounced in mobile communications equipment.
Ceramic antennas meet these requirements in the microwave range for Bluetooth, WLANs, UMTS or GSM. Because of their cost advantages, they are suitable for use in many wireless mobile devices, in cell phones, PCMCIA cards, laptops or handhelds.
In terms of size, ceramic antennas are less than 2 mm thick and have side lengths of about 15 mm x 8 mm. They have low dielectric losses and can be designed with a wide bandwidth.
