Verance

Verance is a watermarking technique developed in 1999 for DVD-Audio and adopted by the Secure Digital Music Initiative( SDMI) in specifications for portable devices. Verance is used in recording and playback devices and uses a 72-bit watermark. The watermark is composed of 4 copy control information( CCI) bits, 8 usage identifier bits, and 60 content identifier bits.

The Verance watermarking technique is also intended to be applicable to other media.
