Mezzanin module

The M module is a plug-on module for single board computers and industrial computers. It is a module according to the mezzanine standard, standardized by ANSI.

The M module comes in three sizes: single, double and triple. The basic size is 148.3 mm x 52.9 mm, the others are 148.3 mm x 106.2 mm and 148.3 mm x 159.6 mm. The triple version is the same size as the double version of the PMC module. The overall height of the assembled M modules is 10.5 mm, and 5.25 mm near the interface connector. Four single-size M-modules can be accommodated on a carrier board in double Eurocard format.

In terms of connectors, the single module has a 40- pin connector, optionally 60 pins, and they can also have front connectors for the inputs/outputs. Besides that, there is a 10-pin connector that connects the carrier board to the M-Module.

The M-module works with a simple bus system and can accommodate more and larger electronic components than the IP-module due to its larger dimensions. It has only half as many I/O connections as the IP module, but has a connection bus between stacked M modules. It is mainly used as a non-intelligent I/O board.
