LAN emulation UNI (ATM) (LUNI)

LANEmulationUNI (LUNI) is an interface standardized by the ATM Forum between a LANE client and a LANE server, for example the LAN Emulation Server( LES), the LAN Emulation Configuration Server( LECS) or the Broadcast and Unknown Server( BUS). The LUNI defines how LAN applications andprotocols work with ATM. The interface adapts LAN frames from Layer 2 into ATM Adaption Layer( AAL) Type 5 Physical Data Unit( PDU), which can then be split into cells.
