IP communication server

The IP communications server forms the basis for Internet telephony.

The IP communications server replaces or supplements the private branch exchange( PBX) and controls all connection processes like the classic telephone system, supporting the required service features. One of the most important functions of the IP server is implemented by the gatekeeper. It implements the H.323 functionality through several service features. These include the translation of the IP address into telephone numbers and vice versa, access control taking into account the network load, and LAN bandwidth management.
