HDX4

HDX4 is a licensable video codec based on MPEG-4. The HDX4 codec is characterized by high-quality video representations, it is extremely fast and requires less memory than comparable codecs such as XviD or DivX.

A data reduction to about 15% of the original value is indicated.

HDX4 supports all common screen resolutions from 32 x 32 up to HDTV with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. In addition to the PAL television standard, NTSC and HDTV are also supported, as well as the resolutions for the Common Intermediate Format( CIF) and for QCIF.

On the playback side, HDX4 supports all players that use the Video for Windows (VfW) and DirectShowinterfaces, including Windows Media Player. For playback, HDX4 provides some features for synchronizing picture and sound and improving picture quality.
