skinless server
As can be seen from the name Skinless Server, this is a hull-less or case-less server. Skinless servers are servers that are optimized for rack mounting.
Skinless servers consist of stripped down modules and have no enclosure, the motherboard has no unnecessary components, low power consumption, and they share central rack power and cooling with other skinless servers. The same applies to the use of memory resources, input/output systems, keyboard and other input devices.
Skinless servers have a compact design, high power density and computing power, and are easily expandable. Such a server can be considered a further development of blade servers.
