serial camera control bus (SCCB)

Serial Camera Control Bus (SCCB) is a serial 3-wire bus system, comparable to the I2C bus.

The SCCB bus, developed by OmniVision, can be used to control camera sensors and their functions such as color saturation, brightness, contrast, white level, exposure time and other parameters. In terms of configuration, it is a master- slave configuration where one or more slaves, which are the CCD or CMOS sensors, are controlled by an SCCB master.

In addition to the standard 3-wire bus, there is also a 2-wire variant that can control an SCCB slave.
