Security Card Operating System (SECCOS) is the smart card operating system of the German banking industry.

The Seccos operating system is not limited to money transactions with smart cards, but is also used in the electronic health card(eGK), cash cards or the electronic ID card(ePA). Seccos is based on the ISO 7816 standard and, as an operating system, meets the security requirements for money transactions as well as the high flexibility required for other personal card applications. It can be used for File Transfer Access and Management( FTAM) and Financial Transaction Services( FinTS) and complies with the Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard( EBICS).
