restricted radiation device (radio frequency emission) (RRD)

A Restricted Radiation Device (RRD) is a communication device with limited power, the Low Power Devices( LPD).

Low Power Devices include all license-exempt low power radio equipment used in non-public land mobile radio(nömL). These radio devices are also referred to as Short Range Devices( SRD) because they can only be used a limited range of distances.

The RegTP has released several frequency bands at 433 MHz for LPD radio, although operation is only permitted with the equivalent radiated power( ERP) of 10 mW.
