real time code (RTC)

Real Time Codes(RTC) are used in various areas of information technology, machine control, building management or audio and video technology.

The difference between a relative time code and a real-time code is that one is relative, while the other is absolute.

In video technology, real-time code is often used, in which the time specification corresponds to the actual time. With real-time code, video cuts lead to time jumps in the recording, but it has the advantage that the actual time of the recording can be recognized in the video cut. If several video cameras work with the Real Time Code, the video cuts can be made according to the absolute time.
