public key method
The public key method is an asymmetric encryption method for encrypting and decryptingdata. The public key method can be used for confidential communication, but also for digital signatures.
Two different keys are used in this procedure: The public key, which can be publicly accessible, and the private or secret key( SK), which is secret and known only to the owner.
Since the two keys cannot be derived from each other, one key can be made public (public key). The plaintext is encrypted using the public key in combination with a mathematical algorithm, and decrypted using a secret key.
The computational effort required in public key systems (PKS) is relatively low in the direction of transmission, but high in the opposite direction. One of the well-known public key methods is the RSA method.
