Loop testing is a test method or measurement method forcontinuity testing or metrological evaluation of transmission sections.

In this test method, data is sent from a data terminal device in a homing channel and returned to the sending data terminal device at a specific location in loop form via the opposite channel. There, the transmitted data is compared with the received data and the errors are derived from this.
