library management protocol (LMP)

The Library Management Protocol (LMP) is a Media Management System ( MMS) protocol standardized by IEEE in the Storage System StandardsWorking Group (SSSWG) under 1244.5. The protocol works between the central management software and a program for managing automated libraries.
