fax profile (Bluetooth) (FaxP)

FaxP is a Bluetooth profile that supports dial-up connection setup forremote copying (fax). The FaxP profile can be used to transmit faxes from Bluetooth terminals via a base station with fax modem emulation.

The FaxP profile is based on the Serial Port Profile( SPP) and defines the protocols for the fax services. The functionality of the devices corresponds to that of Dial-up Networking Profile( DUNP). This means that cell phones can also be used for faxing.
