enterprise computer telephony forum (CTI) (ECTF)
The Enterprise Computer Telephony Forum (ECTF) was founded in 1995 by several American companies. It is a forum of vendors and users to promote CTI technology, computer telephony integration, and to develop interoperability between vendor products.
To this end, the ECTF has adopted S.100, S.300, and H.100/H.110, the definitions for the API through which callers can be connected to their telephone addresses.
In addition, the ECTF is addressing the issue of Unified Messaging Service( UMS). The foundations for a modular UMS system with vendor-independent interfaces were developed by the ECTF as recommendations, and open standards for system architecture and interoperability were also developed.
