enhanced connectivity facility (ECF)

Enhanced Connectivity Facility (ECF) is a set of protocols designed by IBM for the immediate interaction of application programs on the same or remote computers on a principal/contractor basis. Subset of APPC (Advanced Program to Program Communication). The ECF facility serves as the transfer protocol between server and workstation.
