end frame delimiter (EFD)

The End FrameDelimiter (EFD) is a data field in the Media Independent Interface ( MII) data structure that indicates the end of the MII frame. The End Frame Limiter is indicated by the reset of the transmit signal during transmission; the reset of the receive signal indicates that no more data will follow.
