common data security architecture (CDSA)

To ensure security in e-business, Intel has developed the CDSA security architecture (Common Data Security Architecture).

The core of the CDSA architecture is the Common Security Services Manager (CSSM), which consists of various programming interfaces( API) via which security services can be addressed. These in turn have security modules for various encryption methods and for managing certificates and keys. Furthermore, the CSSM manager is supported by corresponding libraries, to which more can be added.

The aim of the CDSA activities, which are promoted by the Open Group, is to standardize application-specific security mechanisms.
