broadcast routing
Broadcast routing is an algorithm used to determine the route to many stations.
The distribution of data packets across the network usually has organizational reasons. For example, it may be a matter of updating distributed databases or an attempt to outsource the processing of a program to another computer.
Several methods are available for this. One can simply flood the network with data packets ( flooding). The tremendous waste of network capacity and bandwidth is mitigated by more subtle methods. Multidestination routing, the spanning tree protocol and reverse path forward( RPF) are available.
