bridge number (BN)

The bridge number is a unique identification of bridges in local network with Source RouteBridging( SRB). Each individual bridge in a network can be uniquely identified by the bridge number. To avoid ambiguity, parallel bridges must have different bridge numbers. The SRB method was developed by IBM and specified by IEEE 802.5, Token Ring.
