advanced television enhancement forum (ATVEF)

ATVEF is an international forum of computer and television equipment manufacturers and program providers that promoted methods for interactive use of the Internet and television. The interfaces specified by ATVEF can be used to control televisions and personal computers.

The standardization proposals developed by ATVEF were peer-reviewed by SMPTE. ATVEF ceased its activities in 2003.
