abstract test suite (ATS)

In general, an Abstract Test Suite (ATS) is a concept for conformance testing( CT), which is used to test the conformance of products and protocols.

For ATM, the ATM Forum published an Abstract Test Suite (ATS) in 1996, based on the specifications of ATM UNI versions 3.0 and 3.1 and on ITU-T Recommendation I.363. This test suite consists of a set of abstract test examples for testing the ATM Adaption Layer( AAL 5).
