USB implementers forum (USB-IF)

USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) is a non-profit organization formed from the companies that developed the specifications for the USB interface. The USB Implementers Forum is concerned with the advancement and promotion of USB technology.

USB Implementers Forum activities include compliance workshops and testing, the development of additional USB versions, and the developments of more advanced USB features such as battery charging, USB Battery Charging( USB-BC), or higher power supply, USB Power Delivery( USB-PD). Other USB-IF activities include the specification of USB cables, USB connectors, wireless USB and the USB-C interface.
