Television Signal Transmission Act

The Television Signal Transmission Act (Fernsehsignalübertragungsgesetz - FÜG) is a national German law that ensures compliance with the standards for the transmission of television, for the receiving equipment and the television sets.

In terms of content, the Television Signal Transmission Act deals with television services and the resulting picture formats, the requirements for television transmission systems so that broadband television transmissions reach the end consumer in the required quality. In addition, the FÜG addresses digital television and its television services and access rights, and regulates the competition rules to achieve non-discriminatory access to television services.
