SPKI/SDSI method
The SPKI/SDSI method is a combination of the two encryption methods Simple Public Key Infrastructure (SPKI) and Distribution Security Infrastructure (SDSI).
This combination, carried out by the Internet Engineering Task Force( IETF), created a security infrastructure( PKI) that relies on authorization instead of identification. It does not authorize a single person, but only refers to the rights that this user has on the network. Unlike PKIX, which has much higher acceptance and distribution, SPKI/SDSI is built on a distributed trust model that depends on readable certificates. This method places much of the responsibility on the end user, rather than centralized access control. The certificates issued are very short-lived and are reissued daily.
