SCSI address

To communicate with a SCSI unit, the central processing unit( CPU) needs the complete SCSI address. This is composed of the adapter number, if several SCSI adapters are used, and the target ID from the SCSI unit. With SCSI, up to 15 devices can be addressed, which may be divided into a maximum of 256 subdevices, the Logical Unit Numbers( LUN).
