ESCON multiple image facility (EMIF)

With the Escon Multiple Image Facility (EMIF) an Escon channel can be configured and divided into logical subchannels. Thanks to virtual subchannel addressing, the same subchannel address of each card can be assigned multiple times, connecting to the host via different paths.
